Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
